University wireless network#

While using university WiFi you might not have access to various services as them are blocked by firewall. Start VPN Client before connecting to any SGEES resources.

Keep in mind that VPN channel has timeout so without any activity you’ll eventually be disconnected from VPN.

Also wireless connection is generally slow and unstable, so it shouldn’t be used for any large or sensitive data transfers.

In very short:

• Browse to your device’s Wi-Fi connection
• Select WellingtonUniversity wireless network.
• EAP Method: PEAP
• Identity: your STAFF username
• Password: your STAFF password
• No CA certificate is required (or accept one from ise.vuw.ac.nz)
• Domain: leave empty, or: ise.vuw.ac.nz
